Notes by Leslie Halliwell from sources other than his Film Guide:

A film LH respected without loving, as the Filmgoer’s Companion provides the only other printed reference than that in the Guide:

‘…this aerial spectacular of World War I, produced and directed by Howard Hughes, still survives by virtue of its highly dramatic combat scenes, including a zeppelin raid over London.’

The film was also famous for providing a certain ‘platinum blonde’ with her first starring role:

‘…the scene in which Jean Harlow allures Ben Lyon by changing into ‘something more comfortable’ is not to be missed.’
