Nikki has prairie oysters for breakfast after a night out; they were also the favourite reviver of Sally Bowles in Cabaret.

John Monk Saunders, who wrote the script based on his novel Single Lady, was Fay Wray’s first husband.  He also wrote several other screenplays about First World War fighter pilots, including Wings (1928), the first winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, and The Dawn Patrol (1930).

The film is not currently available on DVD or video on either side of the Atlantic, but has been known to pop up on TCM.
